One Piece’s latest twist isn’t as sudden as you think

\

The most recent development in One Piece has a profound effect on both readers and the manga's characters. The turn isn't quite as abrupt as you might expect, though.

One Piece's incredible worldbuilding has received a lot of attention. The show excels in foreshadowing in addition to creating a universe that is always growing. Throughout the story's lengthy journey, several witty hints have alluded to significant plot points.

The author of the manga, Eiichiro Oda, is renowned for leaving clues throughout the work. For instance, the Wano Arc would expose the true surprise 20 years after the Skypiea Arc, even though Luffy's relationship with Joy Boy and the Sun God Nika go back much further.

The most recent twist on One Piece works similarly. This year's Chapter 1113 announced the world's fate, although there was a lot of foreshadowing before that. Connecting the dots between these little clues is a thrilling experience, made possible by Oda's astute writing and the rich heritage of One Piece. --------------- ---------------

The latest twist in One Piece explained

Prior to delving into our fictitious red thread, let us to talk about One Piece's most recent development. The Straw Hats eventually get to meet Dr. Vegapunk, the renowned scientist who created the Pacifista and all of the weapons that the World Government has, in the Egghead Arc.

Our heroes confront their most formidable foe to date in this arc—even more formidable than Kaido. It is none other than the leaders of the World Government. To kill Vegapunk and destroy anything that could disclose the truth about the planet, the five Gorosei assemble on the island.

Vegapunk anticipated his passing and had a global broadcast ready to go the instant he passed away. Upon his ultimate demise at the hands of Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, the broadcast was initiated, divulging the world's doom to all.

Vegapunk declared in One Piece Chapter 1113 that the world as we know it will submerge under the ocean. The message's urgency made it very evident that the world government wants to keep people in the dark about the impending catastrophe and that the planet's fate is also its immediate future.

One Piece teased this twist way back

This was teased a long time ago, in typical One Piece way. There have been other little references throughout the narrative that alluded to the possibility of the earth sinking beneath the ocean. To be exact, we'd argue that Franky and Iceberg's chat was the first instance in which the show alluded to this possibility.

Franky was informed by Iceberg that during the Aqua Laguna, the entire Water 7 will submerge into the ocean. His resolve to construct a floating island capable of withstanding such an occurrence was a precursor to what would become clear years later.

One Piece's deft foreshadowing was also evident in Jinbei's cover story for Solo Voyage. In the cover story, Jinbei visits several islands until arriving in an underwater metropolis, where he discovers a Poneglyph. This implies that a metropolis that sunk beneath the sea, like to Atlantis, and raises questions about what would happen to their planet next.

Nobody gave the most recent clue at One Piece's newest turn too much attention because it was weaved so subtly into the narrative. A massive chasm opened up into the sea when the Gorosei and Imu used the Mother Flame to destroy the kingdom of Lulusia.

This terrible deed not only led to the disappearance of a whole country but also increased the level of the sea. The planet will eventually disappear under the rising flood. We are heading toward the same calamity in our actual world, just like in the fictitious world of One Piece, and it seems more scary than anything else in the series.

The world will go under the sea

Everything may be found in the enormous One Piece universe, even an underwater island. The fishmen live on an island called Fish-Man Island, which is also the site of some of the story's most significant discoveries.

Along with housing Poseidon, one of the three Ancient Weapons hidden within the mermaid princess of Fish-Man Island, the island also has an object that may hold the key to unlocking the mystery of the world's submersion beneath the ocean. Noah, a huge ship, is buried in the center of the island's Sea Forest.

This is where the lore of One Piece shines. In the Void Century, the fish-men may have created Noah at the behest of the enigmatic Joy Boy. Joy Boy assured the fish-men that he would use the mermaid princess's magic to bring Noah to the surface.

But for some reason, he was unsuccessful, and Noah ended himself languishing on the seafloor unutilized. Joy Boy used a Poneglyph that is still present on the island to express his regret to the fisherman. In the Poneglyph, he also pledged that Noah will be employed in the future and for a noble purpose.

It became evident when Luffy and his group arrived to Fish-Men Island that Noah's usage was approaching. Furthermore, given the direction the tale is taking, Noah will shortly be put to use.

It is obvious from its name and intended use that Noah was influenced by the biblical ark. When the earth is submerged beneath the ocean, this ship will have a similar function to that of the one that saved Noah, his family, and the animals in the Genesis.

There are additional examples, including Noah, where the end of the world was alluded to. There was formerly a Road Poneglyph on the island in addition to the Historical Poneglyph Joy Boy left behind. Although it is now absent, its undersea island home offers a glimpse into possible future developments. --------------- ---------------

Our cherished protagonist provides yet another crucial suggestion. It was predicted that Luffy would demolish the Fish-Man Island when he arrived there. Knowing Luffy, it is impossible for him to destroy an island where his friends also reside. The prophesy can only lead to one conclusion: because the whole globe is submerged beneath water, there can be no such thing as an undersea island.

Some characters seem to know about it

The fact that certain characters appear to already be aware of the world's doom is the nicest element of all of these. Undoubtedly, One Piece features an abundance of eccentric characters whose behavior may not appear out of place considering the overall absurdity of the narrative. However, after years of viewing the show, if there's one thing we've discovered, it's that nothing is impossible in One Piece.

Given how long ago this was, we won't claim to be positive, but you never know what may happen with Eiichiro Oda and his comics. However, Crocus inhabiting a whale could be more than just a peculiarity of the persona. Rayleigh, another elderly gentleman, coatings underwater-sailing ships.

At first glance, these two seemingly unconnected events may remind us that Rayleigh and Crocus were once coworkers. In addition, they both sailed to Laugh Tale as members of the Roger Pirates, where they discovered the reality of the planet.

Only because he studied the Void Century and the reality of the planet does Vegapunk know about the globe submerging under the sea. It must also be known by Rayleigh and Crocus, who will each be ready for the catastrophe in a different way.

Regarding the Roger Pirates, there is another member of the group whose behavior is quite enigmatic. It is well known that Shanks and his group lack any Devil Fruit abilities. Considering how shook he was when Luffy inadvertently ate the Devil Fruit as a youngster, Shanks actually appears to reject the concept. --------------- ---------------

Even though Shanks is a Yonko and all of his peers have Devil Fruits, it is strange that he does not. Shanks may not have attended Laugh Tale. The ability to swim is taken away by eating devil fruits. Shanks seemed to be making every effort to keep his swimming talent intact. He may be aware of impending events.

The World Government is the group with the best chance of understanding if Shanks is aware that the world is about to end or not. It was convenient for the Celestial Dragons to choose the top of the Red Line as their residence. The top of the Red Line, which is the highest point on Earth, will remain secure even if the entire planet collapses.

Lily’s message is the biggest hint

And now for the most obvious indication about One Piece's most recent turn of events: Lily's note. One of the first 20 kings to unite and dominate the whole planet was Nefertari D. Lily, the monarch of Alabasta. Lily is shrouded in mystery, but for the purposes of this discussion, we'll focus on how her message foretold the world's demise. In the original text, anyhow.

Before going missing, Lily stated, "The Poneglyphs must be protected," in a letter to her family in Alabasta. Raise the dawn's flag in opposition to the [.. ]-ing world. The unseen realm was described using this name.

It was discovered lately, nevertheless, that Lily's message was not concealed in the chapter's initial versions. What Lily really wrote may be translated as "raising the flag of dawn in a sinking world" in the original Japanese text.

I know, shocking. Lily appears to have been aware of impending events and made an effort to alert her people about them. Considering that the first twenty kings were solely responsible for her disappearance, this makes much more logic.

It's clear from all of this conversation that One Piece's most recent revelation regarding the end of the world was not unexpected. It was inevitable all along. We simply weren't aware of it because of Oda's outstanding writing.

One Piece's universe is so big and fascinating that it merits another look. See if Luffy can use Gear 5 whenever he wants to, or how Trafalgar Law became into a lady. Additionally, you can see who in One Piece has the most bounty as well as the finest bouts left in the Egghead arc.
